So today’s countdown is 6 days until we wave in Christmas Day. For some, half of the fun is counting down the days. Then in contrast, others may find counting down the days really isn’t a fun activity as it brings on anxiety or stress. However it makes you feel, I invite you to join me each of the 12 days till Christmas, as I share daily Christmas Reflections to bring some life perspective – and of course an accompanying Christmas image! (I just love taking photos & sharing pictures so it’s only right each post is inspired by own own photos.)
Today’s chosen image is of a giant Ferrero Rocher I saw when Christmas shopping, although I’m not sure the photo does it justice? It really was super sized! But the question it raises for this post is “IS BIGGER ALWAYS BETTER?”

Some people love Christmas & the joy in counting down the days with opening the days advent calendar door. While others get more stressed the closer the date gets to 25th December so they don’t enjoy having an advent calendar.
it makes you feel, I invite you to join me each of the 12 days till Christmas, as I share daily Christmas Reflections and of course an accompanying Christmas image! (I just love taking photos & sharing pictures so it’s only right each post is inspired by own own photos.)
Today’s chosen image below, is of crystal glass angel Christmas ornaments. To some maybe a reminder of the angels part in the nativity story, appearing to Mary, Joseph and the shepherds to deliver the News of ‘Jesus’ (originally ‘Yeshua’ in Hebrew).
When I first saw them in person, i just fell in love with them, so pretty and precious. However, looking at them today with fresh eyes, they make me think they represent just how fragile life can be. More of a reflection of what’s going on for me & my family right now, but a reminder for all.

“Stop being a Sucker!” The best way to STRAW SWAP the ECO-FRIENDLY way… including a list of options for straws in lots of shapes, sizes & designs!
If you’ve read my blog post ‘3 Tips when deciding to go Plastic Free’ (If not I encourage you to read it by clicking on the title) you’d know that the 1st step I took in reducing my personal plastic use was doing a straw swap the eco-friendly way… and you’ll be glad to hear, it is an EASY PEASY change to make, that anyone can do!
Just what’s the problem with plastic straws???
Some may ask why are plastic straws an issue? Esp if they are a person who isn’t up to date with all things climate change or takes much of interest into issues affecting wildlife. However, there are plenty of reasons to do this because of the risk and damage it causes to humans – so because of that care about yourself and your loved ones, instead of the planet or animals, then maybe your question might change from “Why?” to “How?”
Why should I stop using plastic straws?

Have you felt unjustly judged in life, in work, in relationships and friendships?
Or do you yourself find you are being very judgemental of others or of appearances and don’t fully realise the depth to your stereotyping and assumptions?
This poem I’m sharing in this post is called ‘NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT’S COVER’ and it covers both of these sides to this story of life…
We do not have to wait for ‘New Year Resolutions’ to look at moulding the ‘New You’ into who you want yourself to be and how you want to behave. I hope this poem will be a reminder for us all at any time of the year, to look at how we conduct ourselves on a daily basis and to be aware of how we generally treat other people and how others treat us too.

If you are thinking of going plastic-free or interested in reading why people are being encouraged to – then read on for 3 top tips from someone who’s made the changes bit by bit and can tell you how as well as the why…
The problems with plastics have been covered in mainstream news coverage more and more recently; from piled high dumps full of plastics that will take hundreds and thousands of years to decompose, to videos of animals tangled in plastic being set free. From David Attenborough’s netflix documentary ‘Life on our planet‘, to Governments and companies announcing their commitments to reducing their environmental footprint.
So it won’t be so much of a surprise why so many people are now deciding to become “plastic-free” or at least try to be more eco-friendly in their choices, life styles and purchases.
This post is to help you identify small changes that we can all start to make, but that can all add up together to make a bigger difference. Hopefully this post shows that we can all do something and to make a start – let’s be the change we want to see in the world!

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of my Grandad Mac dying. He lived to the mighty age of 99 years and 2 months old.
Today I had a choice. I could wake up and only focus on the heartache and pain from missing him and once again get dragged down into that dark pit of sadness.
Or I could wake up and make friends with the grief, in order to feel more than the sadness I already know.
How to deal with grief in a positive way:
