My advice as a new blogger, if you are thinking of starting a blog:
To be honest, I’ve spent a lot of time wondering just when to start blogging and just how to go about starting too! There were so many questions going around my mind:
Q – Should I wait until the website is designed exactly how I want it before posting blogs?
Q – Shall I upload lots on content before I officially launch the website?
Q – Will my lack of website design expertise shine brightly like my oily T-zone?
But if you are thinking of starting a blog let me tell you – there is never a perfect time, there is always something else you want to change or twerk or learn etc. So my advice is – JUST DO IT!!!
So that’s exactly what I did, I just started it and thought I’ll learn and change things along the way… (I’m very happy I stopped putting it off and didn’t waste anymore time!) I read others blog posts with blogging advice as I went along and ‘learnt on the job’ rather than getting fully qualified with information first, before I put my hands into action.
***But hey, I should do a disclaimer from now:
I’m far from perfect so things around here won’t be done in the ‘best way to have a successful blog’ way, but more like ‘my way of having a blog’ way!
Here is how Helen’s Journey Blog all began…
It all began when I started to share on my personal social media about changing things in my everyday life to be more natural, starting with me changing to organic food to try & give better quality to the food I was eating. My friends showed lots of interest and many asked me to keep them posted on my steps going forward, for going down the more natural lifestyle route.
From there, I thought what better way to keep everyone informed than writing a blog to share my journey… and so ‘Helen’s Journey’ was dreamt into being and here it is!
OK, OK, after a lot of hard work, planning, designing, writing and changing – then it was created into being and here it is! Although, there are still things to get tweaked as I journey further into his new land of all things blogging…
For now, welcome to my virtual diary of life’s discoveries, replacing things in my everyday life in search of a more natural approach to my lifestyle / diet / beauty regime / health and mental health – all while keeping faith, fighting the chronic illness Fibromyalgia with a crown on my head!
I look forward to sharing my footsteps with you on this enlightening path for my body, mind, soul & spirit!
I officially declare Helen’s Journey Blog began!
- Â My 1st pit stop was at WordPress, as my journey creating a blog page became reality. This website will continue to be under construction as I learn more and more with each step I take. But I can’t say I’m doing that badly for a novice.
Why not read about why I enjoy writing so much & how I use it therapeutically for writing my posts and dealing with life:
-  MY ‘WHY’ FOR BLOGGING – THE POWERFUL TOOL THAT IS THE WRITTEN WORD & HOW IT CAN BE USED FOR GOOD!
- Using CREATIVE WRITING / POETRY / PROSE & SONG LYRICS, to express yourself & your inner emotions towards different experiences in life!
